Our range of SiO2 coatings for textiles delivers innovative waterproofing finishes for functional fabrics, smooth leather and suede of all types. During application, surfaces are re-created on a molecular level or improved by nanotechnology “boosters”. These molecular changes inhibit the absorption of liquids by making the fibres hydrophobic, and dirt repellent – whilst maintaining the comfort and feel of the fabric.

This waterproofing and dirt repellent product range comprises of hydrophobic easy-clean C6 fluorocarbon and fluorine-free coatings that provide a real alternative to outdated C8 fluorocarbon technologies. This development helps companies meet their environmental and ethical responsibilities without reducing product performance.

The easy-clean range also includes specialist coatings suitable for leather application to maintain suppleness and original appearance.

Our products are available in bulk for use by OEMs during the commercial finishing process by pad or spray application. Others are suitable for use in solely spray-on application formats in commercial and consumer markets. The range provides dirt and stain prevention alongside waterproofing, and is used across the textile industry from upholstery, to apparel, to camping equipment.

Wherever possible, our products correspond with the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) pathway and meet the Ökotex Eco passport standard (please see individual products).
