nano care automotive

Nano-ceramic and nano-coating products developed with a high-level expertise in nanoscale molecular bonding across a breadth of automotive substrates. We market a range of car care, protection and safety products of the highest calibre.

From scratch-resistant nano-ceramic bodywork enhancement to stain protection on upholstery interiors – we have the solution!

Automotive scratch-resistant nano-ceramic

Dura Nano Ceramic range provides non-absorbent automotive bodywork, glass and alloy surfaces with outstanding hardness up to 9H “nano-ceramic” protection, providing long-term easy-clean performance, scratch resistance and protection against oxidisation.

Dura forms an ultra-thin barrier with a strong chemical bond to the OH surface that is permanent, durable and resistant to mechanical and chemical abrasion, offering protection from UV damage and bird droppings.

Dura is easily applied by hand  with a simple polishing action, followed by air curing – rain fast in 12hrs (curing time can be reduced with the use of heat).

The Dura range provides market-leading durability (up to 100,000 km or 100 car wash cycles) and performance for dealerships, car detailers, own-brand suppliers and car enthusiasts alike. Also used on:

  • Trains
  • Trams
  • Trucks
  • Motorcycles
  • Caravans
  • Motor homes

Dura is available in three strengths:

  • Dura Lite – lowest concentration of active ingredient
  • Dura VF –  standard concentration of active ingredient
  • Dura HD – highest concentration of active ingredient

Glassguard™ (VP12) Easy Clean Glass Coating gives glass a reliable non-stick easy-clean performance. Once applied to automotive glass, the silicon dioxide coating particles permanently fuse with those within the surface structure, forming a protective layer of approximately 120-nm thick. This layer gives glass a hydrophobic, oleo-phobic, anti-stain, anti-fingerprint finish, which causes rainwater droplets to form as ‘beads’ on the windscreen which then disperse rapidly, making driving in heavy rain safer.

The nano coating is crystal-clear, UV-stable, chemically inert and extremely durable.. The hydrophobic film will not peel or flake and is unaffected by extreme temperatures from –20°C to +350°C which aids de-icing. The strength of the permanent chemical bond provides excellent weathering and outstanding mechanical (car wash) and chemical abrasion resistance.

Glassguard™ (VP12) Easy Clean Glass Coating provides the car detailer or enthusiast with a quick and effective means of creating a durable, easy-clean, non-stick safety treatment for windscreens and external mirrors. The irritant-free ethanol-based solution is safe for use in a workshop setting or at home – there is no need for industrial ventilation when manually applied.

For both manual and automated application methods, Glassguard™ (VP12) Easy Clean Glass Coating bonds and dries within seconds (drive away in minutes) and is fully chemically cured in 24hrs. Performance of approximately 12,000 miles in mixed driving conditions.

Not only can Glassguard™ (VP12) Easy Clean Glass Coating be used on other forms of glass such as solar panels and shower glass, but also on the following substrates: –

  • Ceramics
  • Stainless steel
  • Polished porcelain
  • Polished natural stone

Temperature Sensitivity: 3 to 40°C
Usage: Wipes: 1 x cleaning and polymerizing wipe + 1 x activating wipe for up to 3m²

Spray: Approximately 10ml/m for Cleaner + Primer and Liquid Guard spray

Application: step 1 use the cleaning and polymerising wipe/spray (LIQUID GUARD® clean and primer wipe) to degrease and clean the surfaces thoroughly. Only in case of extreme contamination (or limescale) should a pre-cleaner for the specific type of contamination be used. After the liquid has evaporated (circa 5 min at normal room temperature) a polymer layer is formed.

step 2 to activate the polymer layer so it becomes antimicrobial, wipe it over with the activating wipe (LIQUID GUARD® wipe)/Liquid Guard spray thoroughly as per step 1.

step 3 after 2 minutes the surface should be buffed using the microfiber wipe/cloth until all visible streaks disappear. A thorough polishing will be necessary, especially on transparent or shiny surfaces.

After 6 hours the coating is hardened and ready for use.
