Glassguard™ (VP12) Easy Clean Glass Coating gives non-absorbent, mineral surfaces such as glass, ceramic, stainless steel, polished porcelain or polished natural stone a reliable non-stick easy-clean performance. Once applied, a protective layer less than 100-nm thick bonds with the substrate to leave an anti-stain, anti-fingerprint finish layer.
For commercial application by glass processors and equipment manufacturers, Glassguard™ (VP12) provides a quick and effective means of creating a permanent, easy-clean, non-stick finish for glass surfaces. The irritant-free ethanol-based solution doesn’t release noxious fumes, ensuring that there are no negative effects on the user. Independent workplace testing has verified that manual application by polishing is completely safe in the work environment.
For many production lines, the polishing application of Glassguard™ (VP12) is the final process: a high-value additional attribute during the final polishing stage.

For both manual and automated application methods, Glassguard™ (VP12) bonds and dries within seconds, allowing the product to be packed and dispatched on the same day.
The nano coating is crystal-clear, UV-stable, chemically inert and extremely durable, having both hydrophobic and oleophobic capabilities. The ultra-hydrophobic film coating will not peel or flake and is unaffected by extreme temperatures from –20°C to +350°C. The strength of the permanent chemical bond provides excellent weathering and outstanding mechanical and chemical abrasion resistance.
The hydrophobic coating provides a robust defence against the build-up of limescale, urine staining and soap scum.
Easy-clean and dirt-repellent properties extend the range of application to automotive glass, solar panels and building protection.
